About

Kubair Jha grew up in New York and is a Trustees' Scholar at Lehigh University, where he is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science with a Finance Major and a FinTech Minor, as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Joint International Relations and Economics. Kubair is a Portfolio Manager at The Dreyfus Portfolio, Lehigh University's flagship $500,000+ student-run endowment portfolio, as well as the President of the Lehigh University Student Government Residence Hall Association (RHA), where he directs his executive board and oversees his team of 13 Residence Hall Councils (RHC), each comprised of 6 officers.

Kubair has always sought to learn to his heart's content; he started exploring his passion for Finance in tenth grade and has never looked back. In high school, he completed 4 third-year college courses and 5 college-level AP courses. In college, he continues this journey and has been taking graduate-level finance coursework since his freshman year (e.g. GBUS-419-Corporate Financial Policy).

Kubair founded the Youth Finance For Good Inc. nonprofit to bring cost-free financial education to hundreds of students from over 20 schools in and out of New York. He strives to share his genuine enthusiasm for the subject and continues to teach select topics himself.

For enjoyment, Kubair is the Percussionist for the Lehigh University Jazz Ensemble and plays on the Lehigh University Club Tennis Team. He graduated from Hunter College High School in 2021 as the Founder of the Hunter Finance Club and the Captain of the Varsity Tennis Team. He also co-led the Hunter Economics and Finance Team, co-captained the Varsity Bowling Team, and was the percussionist for the Senior Jazz Ensemble.

Today, he looks to what his future may bring, and how he may shape it.
